One problem related to front seat recliner has been reported for the 1999 GMC Safari. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Had to apply brakes in an emergency, seat slid forward and caused driver to impact steering wheel with nose. Dealer found no problem with seat,but replaced seat riser anyway. Seat still does not always lock in position.
