Accelerator Pedal Problems of GMC Safari

When the vehicle was driven forward, the gas pedal would stick and hard pressure had to be applied in order for the pedal to work. Caution was used when the vehicle was pulled forward because there was a loss of power.

Engine stalling while applying accelerator pedal from a stop position or when in stop and go traffic. Vehicle been in dealer shop on four or more occasions, and the dealer was unable to duplicated the problem.

Possible problem exists as, the brake and accelerator pedal are too close together.

Vehicle experience problems with power steering pump leaking/gas pedal sticking/gas indicator always reading full tank of gas/engine light coming on and off, and transmission slipping which may cause a crash. Please provide further information.

When applying the gas pedal its stays down and will not return until it has been repeatedly reapplied. Dealer has repaired it.

The seat belt on the passenger's side will not pull out of the retractor. The dealer is aware of the problem. Part was ordered to correct seat belt problem. Consumer also experiencing a problem with sticking of the accelerator pedal. Please describe details.

Intermittently throttle sticks and vehicle will not accelerate. Dealer has cleaned throttle body.

Excessive acceleration from stand still. Due to hard press have to be applied on accelerator pedal.

While depressing gas pedal pedal would not travel to floor. Consumer applied force, and pedal returned to normal movement. Please provide further information.
