The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis and they stated that the repair required them to dismantle some of the major components to better access the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified requesting information on NHTSA campaign id number 05v099000 (exterior lighting:brake lights:switch), but the VIN was not included in the recall.
