Consumer received recall 03v328000. Recall repairs were performed at dealership. After recall repairs were performed consumer noticed tires were wearing very badly on the outside, and were losing all tread. Took vehicle to tire dealer, and was informed that tires were not rotated after recall repairs were performed. Bridgestone, p215/70r16. Had tires aligned and rotated after 11,000 miles.

2 Tire Tread/belt problem of the 1996 GMC Safari

Failure Date: 07/08/2004

Dunlop rover tire failed at 17000 miles. Tire a complete loss . Tire replaced blamed on poor workmanship. Old tire keep at place of purchase.

3 Tire Tread/belt problem of the 1997 GMC Safari

Failure Date: 08/28/2000

Pe20020, original equipment on a p215, dota3xf cdi 358 GMC, Safari 1997, front driver's side general ameritech st tire tread came off just like the firestone recall, ten days ago front passenger side tire tread separated, yesterday the rear driver side tread separated. Minor damage to the vehicle's fender wa sustained due to one of the tire failures.

4 Tire Tread/belt problem of the 1999 GMC Safari

Failure Date: 06/15/2000

This is an initial report concerning tire failure on two seperate vehicles. I am an illinois state trooper. Today a Ford explorer was involved in a crash as a result of the treads coming of the two rear tires. I also have a personal vehicle with the same. ( dot number: tire size: p235/75/r1 ).

5 Tire Tread/belt problem of the 1996 GMC Safari

Failure Date: 10/21/1997

While driving on freeway, whole steel top of left front tire came off, hit runner, runner came off, bent left fender, no crash, driver pulled to side of road to avoid crash, vehicle with dealer for inspection/repairs.
