One problem related to brake squeaking noise has been reported for the 1997 GMC Savana. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When applying the brakes there are loud squeaking noises and the pedal gets soft and goes closer to the floor. Also, front calipers have gotten stuck, and had to be replaced. Dealer cant find the cause of the problem.
