One problem related to power steering pump has been reported for the 1997 GMC Savana. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states while driving, the power steering went out, the dealer determined the shaft broke in the power steering pump, dealer replaced the power steering pump assembly and serpentine belt.
