The contact stated that the bolts on the manifold were fractured and caused leakage through the exhaust emission before going to the catalytic converter. The dealer was notified who advised replacing the bolts and manifold. The manufacturer was notified who stated there were no recalls and offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was 99,500. 2 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 11/26/2010

The contact owns a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500. When the vehicle was started, exhaust fumes entered the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to john paul's Buick GMC (3615 s 108th st, greenfield, WI 53228 (414) 482-6246) where it was diagnosed that there was a fractured exhaust manifold gasket. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that they could not assist the contact because there was no recall issued for the vehicle. The failure mileage was 80,000.
