general problems of the 2004 GMC Sierra 1500

Corroded brake lines. This has been reported previously. I was driving down rural road getting ready to turn in my driveway when my brakes gave out. I I was lucky enough to be able to get it into the gravel driveway without killing someone. When I looked underneath to find the brake lines were corroded and one had burst. I had part of the line fixed with copper tubing. I am have since had 2 more lines burst. As well as a fuel line leak. This has become frustrating.

Vehicle would stall and eventually shut off, regardless of type of road, I. E. Highway or city streets, and regardless of the speed.

Please help we recently purchased our son a 2004 GMC sierra pickup ,truck is excellent shape not to many miles etc. He has put about 200 miles on the truck and all of a sudden his speedometer quits his fuel gage wont register right,we take it in and they say it is a cluster panel problem cost about 600 to fix,they told me there is alot of this with this year model why is there not a recall ,I came home and researched the internet and found hundreds of complaints why is gm getting away with this hopefully there would be no deaths related to this but this is a problem hope you can help thanks.
