Wiring problems of the 2007 GMC Sierra 1500

1 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 01/13/2009

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving approximately 55 mph, smoke began to engulf the vehicle. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that the wiring melted on the instrument panel from an unknown cause. The dealer stated that the wiring harness and resistor for the blower motor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer stated that because the vehicle exceeded its warranty, they would not assume financial responsibility for the repair. The failure and current mileages were 40,000.

2 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 08/18/2008

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving 30-35 mph, the air bags on the ceiling of the vehicle deployed without an impact. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repair. The failure and current mileages were 26,146. Updated 11/24/08 the vehicle had an exhaust leak, the drivers side window was inoperative, the window switch and connector had melted, the heater seats didnot work, the rear tires were out of balance.
