Control Module problem

The contact owns a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, there was an abnormal audible ringing inside the vehicle. Additionally, the “service trailer brakes” message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact pulled over and waited for several minutes before driving to his destination. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the chassis electronic control module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
