While going slowly and turning, my brakes failed to stop me. There was no pressure for the brakes. This happened several times. I almost ran into the back of a car.
Backing out of my driveway in reverse applied the brakes and brake went all the way to the floor and did not stop the vehicle like it should. This vehicle had a recall already on it for the vacuum pump failing causing a loss of braking power. I got the recall remedied ( supposedly by increasing the vacuum pressure but now 6 to 7 months later this is a huge issue it is extremely dangerous driving in low speeds down residential areas with kids playing etc and your brakes fail you this ultimately can cause very serious injury if not death. And to know they put a recall out that supposedly fixes the issue and it dosent fix anything makes it worse because your cheap and dont want to replace a vacuum pump is utterly disturbing and disgusting.
Low speed brake failure. Creeping up to a stop sign and and not being able to stop due to brakes being hard to push. There was a recall for this exact problem but when the dealer typed in my VIN # the decal wasn't listed.
The brakes failed as my son approached an intersection. Subsequently, he struck another vehicle broadside. Extensive damage was sustained to both vehicles. The driver reported that he pressed the brake pedal, but the truck would not stop. After I investigated further for an explanantion,I discovered that there was a recall on his brake system that might explain brake failure. The crash occurred on a city street.
Virtually unable to depress brake pedal at lower speeds - total brake failure. "no recalls available" according to the dealer database, but this is absolutely the same brake recall issue they refused to address for a few years until 2 people died.

Brake failure at parking lot speed. While reversing in truck, brakes became hard and failed. Almost hit another vehicle.
Hard to no braking at low speed. Power brake assist failure.
While pulling into a parking lot my brakes failed to stop my truck twice. The brake pedal was very stiff, like it was a manual brake and not power. Had to depress brake pedal very hard to get my truck to stop. I shut off the engine and then restarted and the brake pedal returned to normal.

Complete brake failure with no warnings. Dealer diagnostic reports frozen vacuum pump. The condition was encountered in motion on a county rd.
Brake system failure. Brake pedal would depress to the floor and stop working as the truck was slowing down. This would happen in all braking situations. I took the truck to the dealership and they stated the vacuum pump failed. $1142. 67 for repair! Nov 15/ 2018.
The vacuum pump controlling the brakes has failed. When the brake is pressed in stop/go traffic, it will first stop the vehicle, but if the brake is released then pressed again, the brakes will not work and the vehicle continues to roll forward. A mechanical/electrical noise can be heard before this occurs. This is more noticeable on wet roads or roads with a steep decline.

The failure mileage was 69,000.
Vacuum pump vachose assy brake booster and mastercyclinder failure which cause brake failure while driving. Happened several times until 'service trailer brake' light came on. No brakes, no way to press down pedal. GMC refuses to assume responsibility for repair. Cost: $1311. 16.
While in motion the brake pedal goes hard and is difficult to stop. I believe this is the cause of a low speed incident I had earlier this year. The issue occurres mostly at slow speeds in stop and go traffic. If feels like the brake booster fails and the pedal is bottomed out. It happens frequesntly while hauling a trailer in reverse. Very dangerous situation.
Brake failure due to bad vacuum pump.
Out of no where, I had to use extreme pressure on the pedal to stop the truck. The brakes began to sound rough. I turned the truck on and off hoping that would fix the problem. It didnt, I took it into my GMC dealer to find out that the vacuum pump has failed for the brakes. I did my research online and noticed many people have had the same issue. I was surprised there isn't a recall on 2014-2016 gm vehicles. This is dangerous and I'd hate someone's brakes failing at high speed and someone gets hurt.
Brake failure while towing a 3500 pound boat. Vacuum booster system failure. I was moving slowly through a parking lot pulling my boat, when I pushed the brakes the truck did not stop. The brake pedal bottomed out and the truck and trailer continued to move forward slowly.
