general problems of the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 - part 2

I remote started my vehicle, drove to town, smelt something burning. Rear window shattered driver side.

Started truck with rear defrost on, loud gun-like sound and smoke came from left, rear window and left window shattered while stationary.

Rear window glass on driver side of sliding rear window exploded after using defrost in cold weather while driving on the interstate.

Tl- the contact owns a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that after they parked the vehicle from being driven a small distance, they noticed smoke coming from the rear end of the vehicle. The contact, also, noticed a spark of fire on the inside of the vehicle coming from underneath the rear windshield window where the defrost mechnisims are located. The contact stated that once they and their passenger exit the vehicle, they noticed that the fire had went out on its own, however, almost immediately after the rear windshield window on the left shattered. The fire department was not contactacted, therefore, no report was filed. No one was injured. The contact took the vehicle to the dealership (GMC of perrysburg located at 26875 n dixie hwy, perrysburg, OH 43551 phone number: 866-442-6919) who had not diagnosed of the vehicle as of yet. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Gl.

Transmission shifts hard and seemingly late and early (sometimes to the extent where it feels like someone is slamming into the vehicle). This has happened since purchase in 2019 ( when I told them about it them about it they tried to tell me it was normal and acted like I was a fool), continues to get worse especially in stop and go traffic at lower speeds, but does it at all different speeds.

Remote start on the vehicle does not work sometimes , dic says open and close driver door and the engine light comes on and remain on . I took this vehicle to a technician for diagnostics and computer stated rough idling problem technician clear the engine code. This has continue too happen. Vehicle is always stationary when this happens, I've check around and this is a constant problem for GMC and Chevrolet owners . Please look into this matter.

Tl- the contact owns a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving and all the gauges go to zero. The driver information system illuminate a code. The power steering seized. The contact stated that the failure occurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer eighth times for the same failure at young Buick GMC dealer. (2010 e main st, owosso, mi 48867, (888) 399-4101) where they could see the failure but could not say what causing the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that while driving, the stability track started to kick in and pulled to the right side of the road at 50 mph, while the road wet, the chime go off and the power steering seized, the vehicle failed to brake. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage 80,000. Aw.

Tl- the contact owns a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that within less than a week of owning the vehicle while exiting the parking area of the dealership corwin cdjr fiat, 2445, 1025 w sunshine st, springfield, mo 65807, (417) 862-9272 was informed verbatim that when the brake pedal was applied that it was extremely hard and failed to depress. The vehicle was not serviced yet, was unable to be safely driven due to the brake failure and the dealership stated that the vehicle may be serviced for a warranty but it may not be in effect for another 60 days. They stated that the vehicle may be serviced for TSB pit-5361b (additional brake pedal effort) but had not yet specified the manufacturers guidelines to determine a remedy and replacement part. The vehicle was not repaired yet. 29 TSB had been issued for the brake system however no brake system recall so the contact was uncertain of the vehicle may be repaired by the dealership. The approximate failure mielage was 71,000. Dyd.

(1) the truck hesitates and the engine almost shuts off like it's not getting enough gas, it does this for about the first 45 mins. Of startup. (2) the battery has been replaced for the second time and even with a new battery it sounds like it's barely got enough power to start the engine.

Periodically 3 times a week, while driving, the stabiliztrak illuminates and drivability declines, engine check light illums, the gear remains in a low gear without shifting. Turn the ignition off for a couple seconds and it clears and the engine light goes out after 25-35 miles. Sometime it doesn't reset after 3 attempts of turning off and on the ignition. The codes are p0700 a u0100 with others when dealership analyzed. Three times it was in the GMC shop and three times giving back and problem still existed. I recorded on video and gave it to the dealership as proof.

Electrical issue causing sound system, rear camera and radio to shut down completely. Issue started 2 weeks after purchase. Vehicle has been service several times but issue has not been resolve.

I bought a new 2015 GMC sierra 4x4 from bob king auto in wilmington nc with 0 mile's on it very expensive truck. You can't see at night to drive the headlight's the headlight's have no distance to them maybe 25 ft. And no side vision in other word's you can't see the side of the road also if it's raining at night you can't see anything terrible headlights! my truck was like this when we bought it new in 2015 and I have been trying since then to resolve this issue with general motor's corporate in detroit mi. The dealership has tried to fix this problem twice and this made the problem worse. In my opinion gm should issue a recall on these trucks before someone get's hurt or worse while trying to see with these defective headlights.
