The contact owns a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware that the radiator was leaking fluid. There was no warning light illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 98,000.
There is a small pin hole in the radiator that the dealership advised was created because of a problem with the thermostat. Apparently gm is aware of the problem and will fix it if it's prior to 60,000 miles. I am several thousand over now and they refuse to cover any of the 1100. 00 bill to repair.
