general problems of the 2017 GMC Sierra 1500

I have 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 6. 2l engine I have maintain my service on this vehicle and now facing a complete engine failure due to the poor design of the engine by GMC. I have spoken with alot people and dealer mechnics and they all agree GMC and chvrolet know that this is a bad design but refuse to acept responsiblity for it. There are tousands of people with this same issue we cant fight this on our own we need your help please.

In November 2023, my lifters collapsed and I had multiple bent pushrods on my vehicle due to the active fuel management system, leading me to become stalled in my vehicle on the middle of the road with no way of getting off the roadway safely. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle, and know many other who have as well. I had been compliant with all routine and preventative maintenance to this point, and I know that this will lead to injuries or fatalities due to these issues that gm is aware of, yet will not do anything to rectify the situation.

Gear slipping since I’ve had the truck. Replaced parts of motor, new transmission installed and still gear slipping entering the second gear. A big jolt happens every time I accelerate and when I slow down about the 10 mph mark it jolts again. Spent well over $10,000 on major truck repairs. I just don’t understand how this truck has 0 recalls. My truck is similar to all of the v8 sierras of that year and I strongly feel it should have been recalled due to the gears slipping and not enough power.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 ld ext. The contact stated that while driving at 75 mph, the vehicle vibrated without warning. The vehicle was taken to crest auto world at (603) 356-5401 located on 802 eastman rd, center conway, nh 03813 where no diagnostic failure codes were found and the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to robertson's GMC truck at (508) 273-2935 located on 2680 cranberry hwy, wareham, MA 02571 where it was diagnosed that all four tires needed to be replaced. All four tires were replaced however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, the contact stated that he was transferred to NHTSA hotline without notice. The approximate failure mileage was 648. Lt.

My new 2017 GMC sierra vibrates badly at all speeds above 40 mph. The shake in the steering wheel causes my hands to go numb and is a safety issue. I have informed gm of this and had it repaired 3 times. This didn't correct the issue and gm is stating the vehicle is "operating as designed" and will not do any further repairs. It is hard to believe that in this day and age a vehicle is designed to have a constant vibration. This issue has been going on since model year 2014 and gm will not acknowledge or correct the issue. It is going to take someone's serious bodily injury or death for them to look into the problem. Please open an investigation into all gm half ton trucks from model year 2014 through 2017.
