There was an abnormal exhaust odor and smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. The engine and fuel lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer and was diagnosed with a misfire in cylinder #5, and the exhaust lifters and camshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
