The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to reverse out of a parking space, the transmission failed to respond while in reverse. Additionally, the vehicle operated in limp mode. The vehicle was driven in limp mode to the nearest dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission valve body was faulty and needed to be replaced. The transmission valve body was replaced. The vehicle was towed back to the residence from out of state. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,400.
