Rearview System Braking problems of the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500

The backup camera in the dark on this vehicle is unusable. Someone will eventually run someone over. I have added brighter lights everywhere on the back of the vehicle and the camera is still useless at night. The dealer told me it looked fine to them (they checked it in a lit garage). There are hundreds of complaints across all forums.

10/01/vehicle brought to dealership for the 6. 2l engine loss of propulsion recall. Engine passed the pico vibration test. Oil was changed from 0w-20 to 0w-40. Mileage was 29k. 06/17/engine seized at 43k miles. Was travelling 50 mph up a mtn pass. Barely had enough momentum to roll to the right shoulder out of traffic. 07/07/new motor installed. Back to 0w/20 oil. Since ownership, I have to on a regular basis reset the collison warning from seat vibration to beeps. It appears to reset back from beeps to seat vibration every time there is an over the air software update. It might even just randomly reset. I cant tell for sure. I recently had a small backing accident were I was expecting the beeps to alert me. I mentioned this to my auto insurance company. They told me this was not the first time they have heard of this type of situation.

Extremely poor rear camera quality at night. Common complaint on GMC and chevy 2023/2024 models. Unsafe to reverse at night due to poor camera image quality. Cadillac has already issued a recall on their units which are identical to the GMC and chevy. Many posts on facebook GMC at4 and chevy zr2 owners groups about the safety issue.
