When driving the truck it shuts off and then it turns back on. The stabilizer light goes on. It has happened many times while driving and also when backing up. I need to know any specific information why is it doing it, I have taken it to the dealership and they never have found the issue.

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle loss motive power with the service stabilitrak warning light illuminated. The vehicle was restarted and operated as intended. The dealer was contacted and the contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

The vehicle was in motion and took a turn the dashboard chimed and showed a "service stabilitrak", and redcution in power steering, and hvac went off and came back on and I lost power steering. Everything flashed and flickered. Upon further assessment at my house stationary turning the wheel reactivated the problems and it was also noticed that the lights would flicker and go dim along with the dashboard lights. Looked up some recalls and saw some recalls on 2014 GMC sierra with loss in power steering, however my vehicle was not included in that. I have a brake recall that I will be servicing and hopefully that might solve this dangerous electrical problem.

My truck has problems with stability control running on the freeway in the dash came stability control services and second reduce power and the stop mu truck go slow from 65 to 20 in the middle of the freeway car behind my truck.

Driving on highway and also at low speed, truck completely shuts down electrically. Steering fails, instrumentation fails, doors lock, complete power failure. This has occurred backing out of driveways, turning into intersections. Brought truck to dealer,they can't find anything, but g218 ground issue appears to be obvious yet, they refuse to fix unless issue is present.

In the last 2 months my truck has lost all electric power while making a slow right turn. Voltage drops and I lose power steering. Dealership put a new battery despite there being an active recall for this exact issue. However, my VIN number is not included in the recall. I was able to video it happening. It happens when the vehicle is in motion.

Felt strange brake pulse turned into parking lot and power braking failed. Barely got truck stopped before hitting another car. Truck had to be towed to dealership.

The vehicle is stalling when braking and getting ready to turn. My truck is showing stabilitrak service intermittently and I've almost been in a crash 3 times because of this. The vehicle only restarts after placing in park. This is not safe when in traffic. There seems to be no recalls and no known cause. Someone is going to die if gm doesn't fix this. I've been on forums and it's a common problem. It should be fixed by gm if it is so common. This happens when approaching cross traffic at an intersection and I lose all control of steering braking and power to the truck.

When braking and turning at low speeds the vehicle stalls with service stabilitrak warning.

Highway driving engine light started flashing, received codes on service esc and service parking brake. Truck seemed to loose power transmission started shifting very hard, cruse disengaged,lane keep assist stopped working , brakes and steering seemed to act different . When ignition was turned off loud noises from under truck sounded like brakes releasing with loud clunking noise.

My 2020 GMC sierras brakes failed on may 22nd and ecm and now the engine and transmission are experiencing issues based on the onstar report.

The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several minutes or after moving several wires located near the battery. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 129,000.

I was driving my down a 4 lane highway and when I went to stop I had no brakes and rear ended a vehicle. My break peddle went to the floor.

When I am slowing down to turn as I turn the steering wheel I loose power to my instrument panel and my a/c and radio turns off for a second and then comes back on.

When truck is turned on dash says service esc brake system and service 4 wheel drive will not disengage from 2 wheel drive and parking brake is engaged and will not disengage and truck will not move. Infotainment screen will freeze up and not be able to change radion navigation etc.

Gauges flicker, headlights dim when hitting breaks, stability traction comes on, 4x4 has locked in. Truck has lost all power. Had to reset truck by removing battery cable from battery for a short period.

This incident occurred 4-5 times over the last week driving between 25-40 mph. While driving, a warning or notification pops up on the dashboard screen stating stabilitrack off or steering assist off, which stiffens the steering wheel and I can't turn the truck at all. At one point, the notifications popped up and then my a/c went off and radio went off along with my entire vehicle. I had to slam on my brakes, place the vehicle in park, and then restart at which point it came back on and worked until I could pull over and assess what had occurred. I attempted to call GMC customer service (800-996-9463) and advise them of the problem and they acknowledged a recall (#17276 - loss of steering assist), but it didn't apply to my VIN#. It only applied to 2014 models of both Chevrolet silverado ld and GMC sierra ld vehicles, whereas my vehicle is a 2014 GMC sierra ltd. They advised that a GMC dealer could "reprogram the eps module software", but the cost would come out of my pocket and they wouldn't acknowledge any fault or recall issue. My concern is obviously the fact I have kids and transport them to and from school and sporting events. I couldn't even imagine this happening with children in the vehicle and causing an accident or worse injuries to passengers or the driver. This is a major safety issue, and I'm surprised this hasn't been addressed or acknowledged by GMC.

I bought this vehicle in July of 2019 from a GMC dealership in duncansville PA. In late November on my way to work randomly my service stabili trak, abs, assisted steering, and brake light lit up on my dash every 30 seconds repetitively for the remainder of the trip (3 hours). I work 4 hours from home for 2 weeks at a time I spend very little time in my vehicle during this time. I seen the lights come up randomly while out of town also. Once my work weeks were over on my way home the problem persisted. I took it for an oil change and recall late December. They told me they could not replicate any lights nor were they showing any codes. As of last month the problem is getting worse to the point were I am completely losing my power steering sometimes for days at a time. Last week I took my vehicle down for another recall sent from gm specifically for my VIN I was told there wasn't any issues or codes. All they could find is a communications error and they would need to keep it for a few days and sent me on my way home until they had a loaner vehicle available. One week later after several attempts to get my truck in I still have a lit up dash, no power steering, and not a clue when it'll even be able to be looked at since I leave for work in 2 days. This is a common problem from what I have read and can be extremely dangerous especially in winter/snow/icy conditions. I need a vehicle that I can feel safe in that I can travel without worrying around every turn if my power steering is going to shut off and I'm going to have to power a vehicle around a turn or to avoid an accident. I feel like my problem is being brushed under the rug. On my way home that day just 2 miles from my house my power steering went out and I slid off the road fortunately I live in the country and nothing was in the field I slid into. I have photos and videos of the lights flashing off and on.

I was going about 15 miles per hour when suddenly all these error codes started popping up, first "esc malfunction" then trailer brake malfunction,stabilitrak, steering assist reduced, brake system fail, lighs just pop up I do feel like the truck looses some power feels more sluggish, I took it to dealership, they recalibrated the break system and stuff, it fixed the issue temporarily, but the lights keep coming back, sometimes I turn the truck on in the morning and lights are gone, then later on I get all the error codes again while driving it. It started 4 days after I purchased the truck and happens daily since.

On 02/12/2020, I was turning turning to park in a parking spot at work when the radio and other electrical components shut down, and the steering wheel jerked in the opposite direction. I temporarily loss control of my own steering wheel. This occurred 3 times while trying to park. In addition, a message about stabilitrack appeared. It is well known that gm has recalled over 1,700,000 vehicles with this same power steering issue stating that owners will lose control of the steering wheel, increasing the risk of a crash. See NHTSA campaign number: 18v586. Gm's own number for this recall is 18289. However, gm has only included certain vehicles in this recall, mainly 2014 and 2015. My 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 is currently not included in gm's recall even though the same power steering problem is occurring. According to a notice published with the nhtsc, the trucks may experience a temporary loss of electric power steering (eps) assist followed by a sudden return of eps assist. The issue, gm says, occurs typically during low-speed turning maneuvers. If eps assist is lost and suddenly returned, the driver could lose temporary control of the steering wheel, increasing the risk of a crash. Gm says it first became aware of the issue in Feb. 2017 after receiving customer complaints related to loss of eps. Tests conducted between April and may found that some of the vehicles contained electrical issues that could cause loss of eps. The carmaker was to contact affected owners & dealers will perform a reflash of the eps module software. Gm stated that newer vehicles contained recalibrated software and will not have this issue. Gm is incorrect in it assessment since I have just experienced the same power steering issue in my 2016 sierra, & now the dealer does not want to repair the issue since there is no gm recall on 2016s. There is definitely a problem with power steering on 2016s.

Upon starting the vehicle and taking off after remotely starting it, multiple warnings popped up on the trucks dic. They were, system brake failure, trailer brake failure, esc failure, do not exceed 65mph warning. After seeing those I applied the brake to stop and the brake pedal went to floor leaving the truck without any type of braking power what so ever. After coasting to a stop I shut the truck off restarted it and the check engine icon was on. The brakes did work after the truck was shut off and restarted.

Truck parked in morning, turned it on and multiple warnings came on, service trailer brake system,service esc,brake system failure at 62mph,got warning from onstar that there is an issue with my antilock braking system, I took pictures of error but only could upload one.

Tl- the contact owns a 2019 GMC sierra k1500. The contact stated while exiting a parking lot multiple warning light were illuminated (abs, traction control ,service engine soon, trailer brake lost and do not exceed over 60 mph). The contact stated he continue driving the vehicle. The contact stated when approaching a traffic light, he depressed the brake pedal to the floor but the vehicle continue to move forward. The contact stated he was waiting for tow service to take the vehicle to local dealer. The contact called to local dealer gurley leep gm giant located at gurley leep gm giant, (574) 271-3700 and were made aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 12,575. Dp.

I had no issues with my truck until I went and had the most recent recall done for the brakes. I since have had brake issues twice. Once, hours after having the recall done I got in my truck and started it and all the dashboard lights were illuminated and I had to push the brake pedal to the floor after accelerating. The other instance was a week later after remote starting my truck from the phone application had the same scenario play out.

When I tried to drive my truck I received the below error messages and lights on my dash board: steering assist reduced drive with care service trailer brake service esc brake system failure - 62 mph top speed abs check engine brake traction control I dropped the truck off at the GMC dealer for two days, I picked it up and it was fine. I was told it was a software update. Then 7 days later I had the same errors messages and lights on my dash board. And this time it was extremely hard to stop the truck. I needed to press down all the way to stop the truck.

Four days after having a recall performed I was getting an error for my ecs and abs being disabled. The truck lost almost complete control of braking. I took it back to the dealership to be reprogrammed and the same thing happened a week later. Both times this happened when the truck was first started.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 19v761000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes). The contact took the vehicle to finnegan Chevrolet Buick GMC (26529 southwest fwy, rosenberg, TX 77471, (281) 342-4200) to be serviced for the software update. After the contact had the vehicle repaired per the recall, while driving at a low rate of speed, the brakes failed to operate without warning. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a faulty brake vacuum pump. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist because the vehicle was previously repaired per the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 65,000.

Brand new 2019 GMC sierra at4, just under 14k miles. Upon starting the truck, the following warnings came on. "brake system failure 62mph top speed", service trailer brake system", steering assist is reduced drive with care" service esc" check engine" I turned the trick off, opened and closed my door, then restarted. Upon restart, everything was gone, no warnings. Approximately 1. 5 miles later I was at highway speeds (70mph) when all the messages returned. I attempted to brake but there was no response, pedal went nearly to the floor. I only survived the incident by shifting into manual, downshifting to engine brake, and standing on the what I'm guessing was 5 or 10 percent brake pedal. Luckily there was an empty lane for me to do this in.

During normal driving in town and on highway, stabillitrak deactivates, power steering assist deactivates and the steering becomes very difficult, airbags deactivate, turn signals become inoperable, radio shuts off, air conditioning shuts off. This happens while at speed on the highway and at slow speeds. It is especially dangerous when making slow turns as the power steering gives out and the truck instantly becomes nearly uncontrollable (uncontrollable for my wife) in the middle of the turn. I have taken the truck to the dealership and they said nothing is wrong and the best they could do was perform a service bulletin. Issue was not corrected. I found that there was a new bulletin that had a fix for the g218 ground. I cut back the sound deadening from the ground, yet that did not fix the issue either. The truck has done this dozens of times and is incredibly unsafe to drive. How can losing steering, airbags, stability control, turn signals, etc. Not be a safety concern?.

Upon acceleration my "service esc" indicator lights came on and my brakes became nearly unusable and loose steering. I pulled into a gas station and after 5 minutes the error cleared. This happened the previous week and the dealer said they could not find any codes in the computer.
