Circuit board shorts out frequently. Tail lights go out, and when turning brake lights, they go out. Circuit boards were replaced. Please provide any further information.

1999 GMC k2500 fuel gauge goes down to show half a tank and stops there. Shows erratic readings. Vehicle can run out of gas and appear to have aprox. Half a tank.
