Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500. After the vehicle was started, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The dealer diagnosed that unknown parts related to the air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v324000 (air bags); however, the parts to repair the vehicle were unavailable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100.

2 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2007

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact received a recall notice regarding the air bags and was repaired. In addition, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.
