Tl the contact owns a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 25 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to wilkinson automotive (3335 nc-87 south, sanford, nc 27332) where it was diagnosed that the fuel filter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the mechanic noticed that the vehicle was unable to start and diagnosed that the fuel filter housing needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred 2 days later. The contact mentioned that there was a delay while starting the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact about a manufacturer fuel injector recall and provided a case number. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.

2 Fuel Injector problem of the 2002 GMC Sierra 2500

Failure Date: 12/21/2009

The contact owns a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 hd. The contact stated that his fuel injectors have failed. The dealer confirmed that the injectors were bad and five out of eight are leaking fuel which have a high return fuel rate. There are no related recalls or warranties. The contact was denied the warranty coverage that is 7 years 200,000 miles from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 96,386.

3 Fuel Injector problem of the 2002 GMC Sierra 2500

Failure Date: 08/21/2009

The contact owns a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 hd. The contact noticed fuel leakage on the rear bumper of his vehicle. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source increased the risk for a fire hazard. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility in which a mechanic concluded that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. 4 Fuel Injector problem of the 2001 GMC Sierra 2500

Failure Date: 03/30/2009

The contact owns a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500 hd. While driving less than 65 mph, the vehicle stalled between 20-30 mph. The vehicle proceeded to jerk violently and perform as if it wanted to stall. The dealer stated that all eight fuel injectors needed to be replaced at the estimated cost of $350 per fuel injector. This did not include the labor cost.
