Driving at 70mph, thread from tire blew. . That was in July, I went and purchased another tire from bob king GMC wilmington, nc. The first tire that blew was now discontinued so I purchased another good year . On Friday I noticed that another tire on my truck had a bubble along the threads again. It was also getting ready to blow like the first tire. I went to the dealer and they told me the tire I purchased (good year) was also discontinued. . . Please look into this matter. . They have faulty tires and this matter could have turned out with a death. . It isn't the dealers fault it is good year . . . . I have also read on line this isn't the first time people are complaining about the threads coming apart. . . .

The vehicle pulls to the right or left into oncoming traffic within 800 feet or sooner depending on speed. This occurs on city streets or interstate. Gm and gm approved dealerships say this is done to gm specifications. The first 7000 miles, it didn't pull. After gm shop aligned, and 3 months later, it is unsafe to operate.
The tire sensor alerted outside of altoona PA on corridor 99. We called service, they changed the tire that miraculously had not blown apart. There was a hand size bubble on the inside and the tire was separated at the rim all around it. We called good year and got a claim # and setup to have tire replaced in florida. Remaining tires all had separated above the rim and could have blown. These tires were rotated and checked every 5000 miles. Good year has the tires and says they will investigate. We are concerned that this could happen to others that aren't aware of the "fluke" as the gy manager called it. We have pix of affected tires but are unsure of how to upload them.

Three oe (3) goodyear wrangler tires, lt265/60 r20 have become defective, all in the same fashion with sidewall problems, two with bulging, one with an at speed blowout at the sidewall. First one, 1/22/16 while driving but stopped due to heavy traffic and another motorist pointed out the bulge. Installed spare, at destination purchased at full price 2 brand new tires in order to have matching tread on all tires. Dealer alleged there must have been damage, so there was no wear adjustment. Second one noted while vehicle was parked in my driveway 2/15/17. Called goodyear who referred me to a local factory store who pro-rated an adjustment and I rec'd a new tire. Third one blew out at turnpike speed 8/16/17. None of these tires were anywhere near the end of tread life at the time of the problem. This vehicle has never been "off-road" and I do not drive around hitting objects with the tires. I do not want to turn over the latest defective tire to a dealer until I hear from you if an investigation is in order; it is "evidence". I did take photos of the first two tires and will do the same with the most recent one. Thank you.

Took truck in for first oil change. I had several problems including the back tires being over 50% worn out. Alignment was off and dealer repaired that and rotated the tires. Now when I stop at about 5 mph the truck jumps. I removed the abs fuse and problem goes away. Dealer states there is no warranty on tires even if they wear out in 6000 miles and the problem was the vehicle wasn't put together properly the first time. If the roads were covered with snow I would be in real trouble. Normal highway travel around town.

All four wheels have developed cracks over the course of my six year ownership of the vehicle. I have spoken with the service director at simpson GMC of buena park, CA, numerous technicians at simpson GMC, service managers at America¿s tire of victorville, hesperia, and fullerton, CA and have hired an outside engineer that all agree that there is a defect in design and manufacturing on the 20¿ denali hd wheels (rpo: pys). I have well documented interactions with all parties involved and I intend to prove the design flaw that exists with these wheels. I am also in contact with the media regarding the life threatening hazardous design these wheels pose to the public. General motors has been advised numerous times of the safety hazard and problems with these wheels. Please reference the two latest executive office cases 8-1552109660 and 8-2402833027.
Having tire issues with my new 2015 GMC 2500 4wd pick up the bridgestone tires that are installed as factory equipment size 265x70x17 load range 'e' they have a tendency to wonder and at times and not following a curve. The alignment was out and realigned by GMC at 7000 miles. The problem didn't go away. I called a bridgstone dealer and he said the tire size was incorrect they need to be 245x75x17 load range 'e' firestone tires. Gm is refussing to put on the correct size. I checked with michelin and they recommend 245x75x17 load range 'e' tires. The new 2016 gm 2500 vehicals have 245x75x17 load range 'e'.
I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500hd denali diesel 4x4 pickup truck. At 60,000 miles one of the 20" aluminum wheels failed with a large crack on the backside of the wheel. I purchased a new wheel and had America's tire remount my tire. At 95,000 miles the same failure happened, but on a different wheel. This time there were two cracks in the wheel several inches long. On this failure I notified my GMC dealer, simpson GMC in buena park of the issue. I replaced this wheel again with a new wheel. Now at 115,000 miles I have a third 20" aluminum wheel that has failed. This time there are four cracks, 2 of which are over 1" long. I took my truck into America's tire and my GMC dealer and both a technician and the service director at simpson GMC are surprised the wheel didn't come apart while driving. I have attempted to work with my GMC dealer as well as general motors corporate towards a resolution of this safety issue. I have asked gm to replace at least this latest failed wheel and investigate this matter further. I can't be the only one with this issue. Gm has denied covering the cost of a new wheel and has twice now ignored my requests for an investigation. Because this is a huge safety issue where a failure could endanger my life, my family's life, or the lives of innocent motorist around me I must file a complaint and ask once again that my concerns be validated. I am asking gm to replace all four of my wheels with new wheels of the same kind if they can assure me this problem has been fixed, and if that is not an option, I am seeking general motors cover the costs of four aftermarket wheels. If no resolution comes from this complaint I will file additional complaints with general motors, the bureau of automotive repair, the bbb, the attorney general, and finally with my legal counsel.
I bought a new 2015 GMC double cab 2500 hd z71 4x4 pick up truck in may 2015 it has factory equipped lt 265x70x17 bridgestone duravis 7 ply tires. I took it on a unloaded 9000 mile road trip after about 7000 miles I noticed the truck was not handling like it should it wanted to go straight thru curves it wondered and pulled left or right. I took it to the GMC dealer in spokane washington the found that the alignment tow-in and right side caster was off. This is not my first gm truck the last one I drove 93000 miles and never needed an alignment. While driving to bend oregon the problem reoccurred. I took it to the Chevrolet gm dealer in bend alignment check was ok they said it may be tire pressure related I am using the recommended cold tire pressure of 65 psi front and 70 psi rear unloaded not pulling anything. Upon returning to prescott arizona I took it to tims GMC dealer and the alignment was ok. I emailed bridgstone they referred me to the phoenix bridgestone dealer they said the tires for that truck should be lt 245x75x17 firestone not bridgestone. They said they would change them out but need an ok from the GMC dealer. The prescott tims GMC dealer refused to accommodate the request. Checking with several tire dealers in prescott the tire requirements for a 2500 truck are a full 10 ply tire not the 7 ply factory installed tire. Note: the bridgestone tire has a 2 ply sidewall. . . . . A michelin 10 ply tire has a 3 ply sidewall this may be part of the problem. The rim width is. . . . . 7. 5. . . . . . . . . . . . Load index. . 121/118. . . . . . . Speed rating. . . . . . . . Q. . . . Cold pressure of 80 psi.
1) the driver door power windows, locks, and extended mirror buttons quit working,I can be driving down the road and I cant roll the windows down ,cant adjust my mirror and time that I stop to check the fuzes the door controls start working again. I try to lock the doors when I get out of the truck and nothing is working the pass. Side works fine,I took off the door panel and they start working but by the time I put the panel back on . There still work but come back out and they quit again. 2)something wrong with my steering I thought it was my powersteering pump and replaced it ,but there still something wrong I think it might be the steering box I have oil leaking somewhere around there 3)its my air conditioner and heater, I can have the air on I get nothing but hot air on the driver side and cold on the pass side. I can use the vent with air and its the same, just hot on the driver side. And not on the pass side. 4) I keep losing the GMC center cap on my factory wheels I keep the black lugnut covers tight but I lose another center cap, 5) GMC aluminum rims clear coating pilled off.

Driving on interstate 85 tire blew due to highway road and faulty wheel hub, steering capability , suspension on the truck. It spilt the bumper and shattered mirror and hit my arm. I almost lost total control of the truck it did a lot of damage. The front ends on these trucks have been nothing but a headache to a lot of people. They don't last due to cheap parts I assume. Thanks for your time.
I purchased a new GMC sierra hd2500 sle in June, it came with 20" alloy wheels and goodyear wrangler sra tires (lt265-60r20), load range e. Within 3 days, I had a sidewall puncture on one tire while driving on our ranch. The tire had to be replaced. Now, just yesterday, Sep. 15, I had another sidewall puncture while driving on the ranch. I just left the local discount tire, where they are waiting for a new tire to arrive so they can replace the old tire. I've been living on this ranch for 47 years now, and have owned at least 10 trucks and 2 suburbans over the years. There is a 3. 5 mile loop road that runs around the ranch, and I drive it regularly. These two flats are the only two I've ever experienced in driving this loop road, which is a combination of caliche and limestone. The road is not great, but it's not terrible either; and I find it very odd to have two failures within 4 months. (total mileage on the truck is now 9250. ) I'm thinking it's entirely possible that these wranglers have a weaker than normal sidewall; the worker at discount tire told me that my "normal" truck tire, a goodrich dueler at, did in fact have an additional sidewall layer compared to the goodyear. In any respect, I'm calling this to your attention in case there actually is some manufacturing defect that I should know about. I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this issue.

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500hd crew cab 4x4 with the 6. 0 engine and 5 speed manual transmission. Everytime I come to a slow stop the abs unit engages and reduces pedal pressure, causing the brake power to fade and increasing the distance of my stop.
For about the last year we have been having abs light issues and have had brakes replaced, wheel bearings replaced, hubs replaced. Mechanic assured everything fine. Have had complete loss of brakes twice in last year. Latest failure was one week ago. . . Brakes failed, went to floor but did not hit anything as was in parking lot. Mechanic found corrosion on the brake line and replaced section of the line involved.

I own a 2007 GMC serria 2500hd pickup with 94278 miles on it. This week end the right front wheel bearing assy failed for the second time, and the left one was on its way to failing. At a cost of 375. 00 each I replaced both sides. This seems verry excessive to me to have to replace the wheel bearings for the second time with less than one hundred thousand miles on the vehicle.

My 2005 GMC 2500 hd, has 154,000 miles now and I have had to change out the front hub bearings 3 times. I do not know why they keep going bad. My dealership tells me it is because I have a lift and oversized tires on truck, but all my trucks have had lifts and over sized tires and I have never had any problems like this before.
I bought (2) Sierra 2500 hd trucks that have serious hub assembly problems with one replacement in 2011, lighting system work when it want to and has drain five batteries from aaa and advance auto in the past seven years, abs/engine light stays on since 2007 and after 10 years is gasket problems with gm products. I have talk to gm executive office that fix the hub assembly and tailgate recalls problem in 2011 but unwilling to deal with it now after talking to gm dan. I think I need out side counsel and engineering firm to test and testify on my behave and 2,300 other owners with the same problem. I want new vehicles and setting up a date with congressional oversight committee, and NHTSA review my case. I have met with congressional panel investigating gm that want to help me resolve this problem. I been a gm person but seriously looking in the foreign market if I have no serious resolution.

There were no events leading up to the failure it just quick working correctly. The speedometer that is also problems with the front wheel bearing, as well as the daytime light on the front is always burning out.
: the contact stated the rear passenger wheel valve system blistered causing an air leak. The contact changed the tire and the problem recurred. The vehicle lost control and was in a single car accident causing damage to the vehicle. No injuries were sustained.
