Contact stated the tread on 2 firestone tire come off. The first one came off at 19,657 miles on 6-10-05. The second one came off at 22,250 miles on 7-13-05 while traveling 65 mph. He brought them to firestone on 6-10-05. They made him an offer, but it did not seem reasonable. One month later, the second tire failed, and they prorated the tires for wear. Contact was concerned there was a defect in the tires, and would like to file a complaint. The tires were the original ones that came on the truck that he bought in 2001. They would not give him the new tires until he gave them the old tires. There was damage done to truck. He still had the first tire that was damaged. The tires that failed were the left and right rear tires. Updated 11/30/2005 -.

Tire Tread/belt problem #2

Tire size lt24575r16; this motorhome has had 2 tires fail at different mileages. First one had tread seaparation at 11,800 miles, and second tire had tread separation at 14,300 miles. Both caused motorhome to vibrate, and both occurred in rear with non-dual axle assembly. This motorhome is sitting on a Ford chasises.
