Tire problem #1

The contact owns a 2022 GMC sierra denali 3500equipped with goodyear tires, tire line: wrangler, tire size: lt275/65/r20. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 60 mph and hauling a camper, the passenger’s side rear tire experienced a blowout. The driver was able to change the tire. The tire struck the camper and caused damages. The vehicle was taken to a tire center, where it was determined that the tire was defective. The tire was replaced. The driver sustained injuries to his back, and medical attention was provided. There was no police report filed. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 31,000.

Tire Tread/belt problem #2

Lt275/65r20. We were traveling about 74 mph on hwy 90 going westbound, when suddenly we heard an explosion and noticed pieces of the passenger rear tires coming apart. It was about 90 degrees when we were on the road, and I had checked the tire pressure earlier that day, and it was at the recommended tire pressure. At no point during our trip was there a low-pressure warning or we did not hit any object on the road. We would have had a severe accident if the tire had been on the front. The tread seems to have separated from the tire, causing major damage to the truck bed. The tire was manufactured in week 20 of 2022, and it still had a good amount of tread remaining. I do have front and rear dashcam footage available.
