The contact owns a 2023 GMC sierra hd the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number 24v060000 (latches, locks, linkages) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where diagnostic was not given but the dealer provided a temporary remedy in which the dealer disconnected the tailgate switch. The contact stated that it was advised by the dealer to access the tailgate to use the key fob, or the button located with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired.
