The contact owns a 2020 GMC Sierra 3500. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph with passengers seated in the rear seats, the passengers became aware that water was entering the vehicle between the window and frame. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed the contact of technical service bulletin: 18-na-383. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that there was no special coverage or warranty coverage on the vehicle. The contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

2 Structure problem of the 2007 GMC Sierra 3500

Failure Date: 08/17/2008

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 3500. The contact stated that the vehicle was burning oil more rapidly than normal. The manufacturer was notified and informed him that the vehicle could burn one full quart of oil every 1,000 miles traveled. The dealer resealed the turbo but to no avail. In addition, when driving over road bumps he could hear the doors shifting inside of the door frame. The manufacturer advised that the failure was normal. The dealer made repairs to the body bolts but the failure persisted. The dealer advised that he should oil the doors to reduce the amount of noise. The failure mileage was 36,000 and the current mileage was 58,000.
