Five problems related to front seat head restraint have been reported for the 1996 GMC Sonoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The headrest does not adjust. The height is low and considered a hazard to tall drivers.
Non-adjustable head restraint too low to protect taller drivers.
Vehicle did not have an adjustable headrest. During a rear end accident consumer suffered whiplash due to the fact that the head rest was not high enough to support the head. The dealer has not been contacted.
Head support is not high enough to support the consumers head.
The head rest on the truck is not adjustable, consumer is concern that if hit from the rear that his head will hit the rear window glass. Nlm.
