One problem related to clutch pedal/linkage has been reported for the 1997 GMC Sonoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Intermittently when the brakes are applied the pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer has been notified. Throttle failes to come to idle at stop. Stays at high speed. Growling from trans-clutch area - hard shift - clutch failure.
