One problem related to front air bag sensor control has been reported for the 1997 GMC Sonoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving down the road, my air bag light on the dashboard , goes on and the engine quits. If the steering wheel air bag is tapped, the light goes off and the engine can be restarted. Very scary.
