Gasoline Engine problems of the 1998 GMC Sonoma

Two problems related to gasoline engine have been reported for the 1998 GMC Sonoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Gasoline Engine problem

Failure Date: 11/21/1997

Every so often vehicle will cut off and will not start,and the security light continues to come on. This vehicle has been to the shop 4 times, and the problem has not been determined as of yet.

2 Gasoline Engine problem

While driving vehicle caught on fire, cause unknown, fire department was unable to determine whether it was gas or electrical.
