Two problems related to differential unit have been reported for the 1996 GMC Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Worst problem is in differential - it makes a sound like airplane ready to take off - can't believe that a 4 yr. Old car can have this happen - have spent well over $5,000 since I bought it - really upset !.
Differential internal case failed.
