Front Air Bag problems of the 1996 GMC Suburban

Two problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1996 GMC Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/22/1999

Had an accident 22-Jul-99, and airbags didn't deploy. Consumer has not contacted dealer and manufacture. Had brake problems and had them replaced 1000 miles under warranty.

2 Front Air Bag problem

No deployment of air bag caused client (meiselman) injures during a major frontal crash. Nlm (attorney for consumer).
