Steering Wheel problems of the 1996 GMC Suburban

Three problems related to steering wheel have been reported for the 1996 GMC Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Steering Wheel problem

Failure Date: 09/04/1997

While driving at 45mph the steering wheel came loose and was able to be turned 360 degrees, resulting in the vehicle hitting a wall due to a loose bolt in steering column.

2 Steering Wheel problem

Failure Date: 05/05/1997

Consumer had his steering shaft replaced because the car was driving funny. Manufacturer said that it was not under warranty.

3 Steering Wheel problem

Failure Date: 01/10/1996

Steering column failure.
