Door Latch problems of the 1998 GMC Suburban

Two problems related to door latch have been reported for the 1998 GMC Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 04/07/1998

Water leaked inside the vehicle, also there was a mold problem, the dealer tried to remedy problem by spraying a chemical inside the vehicle, however the odor was still there, the rear transfer case and door lock was replaced, and the front shoulder belt was readjusted. Ts.

2 Door Latch problem

Rear doors do not have child safety locks. A child was able to open the door while vehicle was moving. Also there is no latch on the inside of the rear door to exit the vehicle from the rear.
