Five problems related to air conditioner have been reported for the 1999 GMC Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer stated water was leaking from the rear a/c causing mold to accumulate inside the vehicle. This problem caused the consumer to feel ill. Please provide more information.
12/5/00 replacement of a/c compressor still has not corrected the problem. Tired and disgusted with dealership. Had other problems with engine hesitates when taking off & driving 30 mph, unable to find cause,dealer states calif. Gas.
Consumer noticed high pitched whistle from the air vents, dealer found problem to be caused by a small bladder in the air conditioning unit which once removed is almost impossible to replace correctly.
No summary.
The a/c stunk; I felt insecure with the brakes soft most times. Twice we drove 45 mi. To midway and they did not take the vehicle in, GMC said to go to nearest dealer.
