Accelerator Pedal Problems of GMC Suburban

1 Accelerator Pedal problem of the 1999 GMC Suburban

Failure Date: 08/01/2004

When starting the engine vehicle surges forward. This would occur when the vehicle was placed in reverse and then into park. This problem would occur at least five time per week. The left rear upper portion of the rear window defogger grid was inoperative and there were times when the vehicle was started and the vehicle would lurch forward while in the park position.

2 Accelerator Pedal problem of the 1996 GMC Suburban

Failure Date: 07/13/2004

When driving vehicle accelerated on its own. It did the same thing when the vehicle was in park. When touching the gas pedal light it accelerated.

3 Accelerator Pedal problem of the 1999 GMC Suburban

Failure Date: 12/06/1999

While pulling a camper consumer stopped at a stop sign,. Then, consumer pressed slightly on gas an rpms went to 4000, but car would not move. Consumer could be in traffic, and it may take off. Consumer loses power going up a hill.
