Gas gauges are defective,fuel system and gasoline system are not working propoperly. All door lock actuators have been replaced and now they have stopped working again,other people with this SUV have the same problems,I'm a single female,and I am getting ripped off.

Consumer states that the other day, he had parked and was attempting to get out of his vehicle. He says that nothing he tried would unlock the driver side from the inside. He said he finally had to crawl to the passenger side and opened the door from the outside. He said this was very frightening because what if the vehicle was on fire, he said he would have burned up. He took the vehicle to the shop and had it repaired. Please help because this should not have happened.

The rear automatic door lock failed to operate, the doors were unable to be opened manually. There was an incident where the consumer's daughter attempted to get out of the vehicle and the doors automatically locked, and was unable to manually unlock the door.

The contact owns a 1999 GMC Suburban. The interior handles had to be replaced on several occasions. The handles were made of plastic , and all four doors failed. To open the door the window must be used to open the vehicle from the outside handle. GMC hasn't done anything to assess the failure. The driver side handle has to be replaced more frequently since it was used daily. According to the technician they have seen this failure repeatedly. The current and failure mileage were 80,000.

Water leaked inside the vehicle, also there was a mold problem, the dealer tried to remedy problem by spraying a chemical inside the vehicle, however the odor was still there, the rear transfer case and door lock was replaced, and the front shoulder belt was readjusted. Ts.

8 Door Latch problem of the 1996 GMC Suburban

Failure Date: 09/01/1997

Locks for various doors have stuck four times, preventing entry or exit from vehicle. Dealership has examined vehicle, and performed repair work. Consumer was also having problems with the windshield wipers which failed intermittently, consumer was informed that there was a recall however it did not apply to consumers vehicle due to the VIN.

9 Door Latch problem of the 1998 GMC Suburban

Rear doors do not have child safety locks. A child was able to open the door while vehicle was moving. Also there is no latch on the inside of the rear door to exit the vehicle from the rear.
