4 Seats problem of the 1997 GMC Suburban

Failure Date: 01/15/2001

I twice under warranty have had the drivers seat carriage assembly replaced. With the advent of the last repair I requested that mr. Rob sorenson, the service manager for big wyoming located in casper, wyoming put me in touch with a GMC factory representative with whom I planed to discuss these consistent repairs. The representative did telephone me and left only a message that he would contact me again. The carriage assembly is in need of replacement again and the vehicle has 47,000 miles which eliminates the provisions of the warranty for replacement and the factory representative has not contacted me since leaving me a message. I understand that the seat assembly is steel and connects to an aluminum carriage which may be the cause for these repeated repairs due to the steel components wear of the aluminum assembly and therefore the allowance is made for the seat to "rock". I would suspect that this wear will continue with any additional replacements of the carriage assembly and expect that GMC will continue to provide replacements to the seat carriage assembly without costs of any kind or nature to me.
