The passenger side grill was damaged and there was a small dent on the hood. The air bags did not deploy although the air bag indicator was illuminated. The contact sustained minor bruises on her wrist and soreness from the seat belt. Medical attention was not received. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was able to be restarted and driven home. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 96,423.
The contact owned a 2014 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 10 mph and making a left turn, another vehicle crashed into the vehicle head on. The frontal air bags did not deploy. The police and fire department were present. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a collision lot.
