One problem related to tire tread/belt has been reported for the 1998 GMC Vandura. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When driving down the highway at 60 mph, we got a flat tire. Realizing the tread had separated, we checked the other 3 tires. They were all starting to separate. We replaced all of these with cooper tires. We did not report at the time because there wasn't a recall on them. But we did think someone should know about this problem.
