The contact owns a 2007 GMC w4500. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited a bad exhaust leak. Fumes could emit inside of the cabin. The contact performed the repair himself and replaced the passenger side exhaust manifold. There was significant concern of the safety risks. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. Contact states there is a recall on the exhaust valve stem for his vehicle. The recall is in effect until 11/30/05; gm recall number is gm 0000119251. Due to the valve stem breaking the engine is needing to be replaced. The service dealer did inform the consumer this was why the engine needs to be replaced.
