1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/14/2025

Truck loss power turning off while making a turn into driveway with incoming traffic. Happen on several occasions. Diagnostic at dealership states high pressure fuel pump is leaking fuel internal making it run rich. Nhtsa states this model truck has had previous recall.

2 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2025

Fuel line rubs between cab and tank making a hole. Fuel pours out on when driving or running. Huge fire risk. Glad I caught it before the car burned up with us in it.

3 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2024

Gas line leak.

4 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/04/2024

Leaking fuel from the top of the tank when I start vehicle and after 5-10 minutes it stops this the second time this have happened.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/12/2024

Pinhole fuel leak located in the bend radius of a plastic, quick disconnect coupling, of a pressurized fuel line, just forward of the fuel tank. Being a pressurized line, the leak is continuous, whether the vehicle is on, or off. Due to the location of the leak, fuel is sprayed upwards onto other shielded lines and components, representing a safety/fire hazard.

6 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2021

Fuel injector is direct injection into cylinder. Excess carbon build-up is endemic with this design causing power loss/decrease, knocking, and potentially increased emissions. Safety factor is loss/decrease of engine power when needed for safe highway driving. This problem is noted in gm literature and technical bulletins. The malfunction indicator light (mil), also know as the check engine light, illuminated and provided generic malfunction codes via the obd. Cylinder #7 fuel injector removed and replaced, mechanic inspected the used injector. Heavy carbon build-up noted.

7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2020

Was driving down the road and suddenly the check engine light started flashing and the esp light came on. I was very close to home so I drove back home and as I stopped the car it started shaking and I turned it off. Brought it to the mechanic and he said the fuel injectors need to be replaced. I have been without my car for 11 days now as this is such a common problem that all the parts are on back order. This is very dangerous and needs to be recalled especially as it is such a common problem. For such an expensive car these kinds of things should not be happening. Hoping for a recall soon so that I can receive my money back.

8 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/05/2019

When the gas pedal is depressed fully, the gas pedal sticks the car continues accelerating. The problem began with initial complete depression of gas pedal to cause some acceleration and depressing brake allowed vehicle to return to normal driving. The problem has worsened over time to the point where both feet depressing on the brake pedal did not affect acceleration and caused smoke to emit from both front brake pads, and the passenger front brake pad flamed up from the heat. The car was driven into a parking lot with the brake depressed the entire time, and turned off. So far, this has only happened when the gas pedal is fully depressed. The dealer told me the mat caused this even though the mat is cut around the gas pedal with plenty of room to not obstruct pedal. The mat also does not slide or move about the area. The GMC dealer told me they took the mat out and did not notice any auto acceleration, and they told me they were unable to depress the gas pedal full to attempt to recreate the problem, to not compromise the safety of the other cars nearby.

9 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2015

Fuel pump leak. Our cabin fills up with exhaust causing myself and my 3 young kids (1,3,5) to start coughing, eyes and throat burning, headaches & a hard time breathing. Confirmed by GMC dealer in concord & separate auto shop. They told us it had a recall and that they couldn't fix it after paying them to diagnose it since it was recall. Now GMC dealer is telling us that the problem and recall exists for other 2015 Yukon models but our VIN # is not included and that's why they never fixed the problem that I've been complaining about since I bought the truck (dont remember exact purchase date but the vehicle was new and under warranty for years). I've taken it to the dealership 3 times for the same problem (exhaust smell in cabin) and they kept saying it's fine. Now it's so bad that we can't drive it because it makes us feel sick.
