37 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2023

Our vehicle is 2017 and we have to replace the air conditioning condenser. I've read that this a issue with these vehicles and it is very expensive to repair. This problem. There should be a recall in place. We as consumers should not have to pay for the neglect of GMC not properly building this vehicle.

38 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 03/07/2023

Transmission, radio is skipping, brakes.

39 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2022

40 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2022

My vehicle began shuddering during acceleration and would violently jerk forward after gas pedal was engaged with decreased power in forward acceleration and increase in rpm. This last a couple of weeks. Now, my vehicle is completely broke down and at a gm certified service center. The service manager states torque converter completely went out and the transmission is burnt up. The mileage is at $61,000, so gm warranty won’t cover it and the company that holds the extended warranty I purchased hasn’t been able to be successfully contacted. There is a “service” bulletin but no recalls and a class action lawsuit (that I’m not a part of) but no recall. My vehicle completely lost power going 50mph on a busy road without warning. This needs to be a recall due to this dangerous circumstance.

41 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 02/07/2022

The transmission failed while merging and almost caused a collision. After a complete transmission replacement, the fuel injectors failed causing the same issue. Gm extended fuel injector warranty due to the number of similar issues, but not in my state.

42 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/26/2021

My car is not shifting right. I took it into GMC, and they said they corrected it. I have taken in two times for this issue already. Today I almost was in a car accident because the car would not shift properly and it shoved me forward like a car hit me from the back. The car is not shifting properly at all. And now it’s making a muffling sound and it’s like stuck in a gear. I pulled over and I parked and then I reversed and then I went to hit the gas again to try to go slowly and it jolted forward again. This is serious and needs repaie.

43 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2021

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Yukon xl. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the cam shaft, manifold, and lifters needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 104,000.

44 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2021

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that the lifters were previously replaced in 2021 at the manufacturer's expense. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the engine was running rough. The vehicle was taken to an unknown auto part store, where it was diagnosed with an engine cylinder malfunction. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was determined that the engine had experienced lifter failure or a more severe failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed by the dealer, and that the manufacturer might help in covering the cost of the repair. The contact related the failure to NHTSA action number: ea25007 (engine, engine and engine cooling). The failure mileage was approximately 81,638.

45 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2021

Car struggled to start when I started it. Idle was/has been really shaky. Engine light came on. I got a diagnosis from 2 companies for my engine. Both said I needed to replace all 8 fuel injectors. GMC has an extended warranty to cover these issues, but it is not available for my state of utah. Here is the code for reference for Yukon #n182198000. My car is a Yukon xl 2017 that needed fuel injectors at 85,000 miles! how is this okay? the repair cost $1,990. 28. The power train warranty has been changed for 2016 and 2017 GMC vehicles so that it is now 60,000 miles or 5 years. Mechanics have reported that gm has changed the way they are building engines in order to reduce costs, but it appears that consumers such as myself are bearing the brunt of the costs. I would appreciate if the extended service warranty could be extended to all states in the u. S. Vs. Those who have mandated it because of legislation or legal enforcement.
