Two problems related to electrical system have been reported for the 2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
All three of my door locks no longer lock electronically. They must be locked manually. I have two children and this is a major safety concern. Many complaints have been filed to gm indicating that this is a manufacturing error. My car has 85000 miles and many that have complained have far less. This is clearly an issue that should be recalled. I reached out to gm with no solution offered other than them basically saying I am on my own. They did offer to help me find a local dealer I could shell out my money to. Please help. This issue occurs when the car is at rest and in motion.
Upon being stopped at a light at a main intersection and then making a left hand turn, the vehicle shut down and the check engine light came on the panel. We were able to coast to the side of the road. After a few minutes, the vehicle started up for about 2miles then shut off again. The dealer was not able to replicate and said no issues found. They gave us the vehicle back only to have the same issue 5 days later in which the vehicle was towed back to the dealer. Diagnostics then showed a new battery was needed (?) and a sealant resealed. Well, a few days later (less than a week) it happened again. The dealer has since had the vehicle, claiming nothing is wrong and has not been able to replicate. (all instances were during constant rainfall and the vehicle being driven at least 15-20minutes in the rain. ) we bought the vehicle used, bought a warranty and are now stuck with trading in the vehicle!!.
