One problem related to fuel pump has been reported for the 1998 Honda Accord. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1998 Honda Accord shuts off by itself while driving. Happens sporadically. Replaced fuel pump, fuel igniter, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, etc. Nothing fixed it. Now they say it might be the ignition switch. There was a recall for this in 2002 but my VIN doesn't come up as part of that recall so I have to pay to have it replaced. And that may not fix it either.
