Four problems related to tire sidewall have been reported for the 1999 Honda Accord. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
- the contact owns a 1999 Honda Accord with an odometer reading of 111036 miles. The contact stated that the vehicle had goodyear eagle rsa tires that continue to go flat. The contact had the tire repaired several times, but it had not fixed the problem. On 2-23-07 while driving under dry conditions at 60 mph had another tire failure. The contact took the vehicle to the repair shop, and they replaced the tire. The contact called goodyear, they told him that the tire failure was not their fault ,and that their tires did not have defects and to go back to the shop for repairs.
Sidewall blowout while driving at 50 mph. No contact with curb, pothole, or any other road hazard. Tire dealer confirmed that blowout originated from inside the tire. Tires have less than 20k miles. 2nd blowout in 16 months. Michelin mx4 195/65r15.
Consumer stated took vehicle to local aaa office for inspection. Inspector advised that all 4 tires were dry rotting. Consumer took vehicle to tire dealer who informed that rotting was due to ozone cracking, but tires are safe. 1999 Honda Accord. Consumer notice while traveling 65 mph vehicle started making a rumbling noise flowing by driver side tire tread blowing out. Please provide further information. Ts.
