The brake lights were failing intermittently without my knowledge. The only indication was that the automatic console shifter would not unlock sometimes. Both conditions were caused be a defective switch under the brake pedal.
Brake light failure on exterior of vehicle. High brake light in rear window will light up, but other brake lights do not light up when brake is depressed. Took to Honda of seattle. They took electrical wiring apart and put it back together, and it worked temporarily, but they did know why it was fixed. One week later, my brake lights are out again.
Stop lights do not work. No indicator light to warn driver that lights are not working. (bulbs are not burned out, stop light switch is working).
When the vehicle was first started, the brake light illuminated and stayed on until the pads warmed up a little. The problem has occurred more than ten times with this vehicle. Failure only occurred when it was cold outside. Consumer was informed that the failure was do to a sensor that didn't sit right and it caused the light to illuminate.
