My car got into a minor accident a neighborhood. The airbag on the passenger seat came out. Everyone including the police thought it was odd because there wasn't anyone sitting on the passenger seat. The driver's side on the other hand, the airbag did not come out. And the airbag light is off even though the passenger airbag came off. I have a question as to why that is? also my seat belt became too tight and does not allow me room to moves.
Intermittent to constant air bag fault light. This is the exact same thing as my 2006, 2005, and 2004 Honda Accords. 2004 Accord air bag light came on intermittently in April 2019. Seems to happen at startup. Stays on now more often than not.

Airbag light is on meaning the airbag is off. Drivers side seatbelt does not operate properly.
I've been noticing my airbag light continued to come on and off. I received this letter in the mail concerning the airbags. I just want to feel safe in my car. The car was stationary then I begin to move; the airbag comes on constantly.
Airbag light on without any accident. I report to dealer they said is my car identification numb not include.
Takata recall ,I got in contact with Honda corp about recall on airbags and Honda told me that my VIN number was not on the recall ,I told them that my air bag light was on and they told me to go have it fixed at my expense ,so I did not not take my car in for the recall and like a month after I contacted them ,my wife was hit in the front end of car and the passenger side air bag deployed and the accident was not not even a hard compact accident ,I'm glad no one was in the passenger side of the car in the accident ,its very sad to see see a company like Honda corp ,not take responsibility for there actions and put peoples life in danger.

The VIN number in questions has 2 recalls and we tried going to sloane Honda dealership 9903 bustleton Ave, philadelphia, PA 19115-2145 and the refused to complete the recall with always an excuse. Went times and had an appointment each time specifically for the recall and they finding some excuse. First they said that we are not the original owner(s) and my name did not appear on their system as the correct name for the vehicle even though we purchased it brand new from the same dealership back in 2004. The second time the stated that they finished the recall, however, the airbag light is still on and when I checked online as well as your website it is still listed as incomplete. The third and final time spoke to [xxx] (service manager) and made an appointment and he wouldn't even talk to me or honor the appointment. Then called Honda directly at 888-234-2138 for recall complaint and what to do about it and could never get anyone. Always busy or unavailable to take phone calls. Tried finding an email as contact info for Honda directly and there wasn't one. I do not know what else to do. The vehicle in question has a recall from the manufacturer and the dealership we originally bought it from refuses to fix the issue with always some sort of an excuse or lie to us stating that it was completed. The recall as of now is still incomplete. Please advise further. Sincerely, concerned vehicle owner information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Airbag light on.
My vehicle's airbag light has been coming on and off since July 2014. Until recently (end of November 2014), I had no idea about the manufacturer's recall. In today's world, businesses are not even trying to be responsible towards their customers and try to charge for airbag light checking or replacement. To prove it, even during the major national recall for Honda airbag, the Honda dealer: columbus, germain Honda of dublin 6715 sawmill rd dublin, OH 43017 united states declines service. They initially denied service saying that there is no recall open for my vehicle by the VIN number, then she said that it was already taken care of sometimes in 2004. We have owned the car since 2005 and we never had it repaired for this problem. I want to prevent an accident and not look for trouble, but it is difficult to be proactive when the dealers want to charge you even when there is a well-known nationwide recall for the very problem you are reporting. Please help with making it easier for customers to have their cars repaired without having to fight for it or convince the dealers that it is their responsibility. Thank you!.
I was driving my car and my transmission started slipping. I keep up with all of the scheduled maintenance for this car. I got the transmission rebuilt and now less then 3 months later the car is starting to jerk again and the drive light on the dash is starting to blink. I also have this error code that won't go away saying there is something wrong with the fuel tank. I got the gas knob changed and the error goes away but when you hook the computer up to it, the code still comes up. The air bag light also comes on and off when it wants to.
The contact owns a 2004 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the air bag light warning illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for inspection. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 51,000.
The contact owns a 2004 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the air bags light randomly came on and off. The contact stated that the light can came on and off whenever the seat belt was engaged or someone would sit in the passenger seat. The contact found NHTSA recall campaign id number: 07v001000 (air bags) and took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that the seat position sensor sub-harness needed to be replaced. The dealer advised the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was unknown. The current mileage was 51,000.
Driver side airbag light stayed on unexpected. . (sometime on, sometime off).
I have noticed the air bag light comes on, took it to Honda dealership and they told me that the code is 61-10. They would order the seat belt part (special order). I was under the impression that seat belts would be covered by the warranty for the life of the car. Dealers told me "it's electrical problem in the seat belt, not mechanical" and Honda does not cover this even the language in the warranty does not express this at all. I was very disappointed how Honda would not honor the warranty. Wondering how they received high marks for customer relations. The only recourse I have is spend the $260. 00 and never, never buy another Honda again !.
Urgent - safety issues recently my air bag light indicator came on when I started the engine and it will stay on until I turn off the engine . This seem to be happen more frequently but it does not happen all the time. Further search on the web this seem to be a common problems for 2004 Honda Accord, below are steps that I had tried. 1/ if the light came on when the engine start, turn off the engine and start again sometimes the light goes off sometimes it does not. 2/ if the light came on when the engine start, turn off the engine then buckle the seatbelt and start, this seem to turn off the airbag light. 3/ with the engine running while in part, un-buckle the seatbelt sometimes the airbag light come on but not the seatbelt light. Other time seatbelt light on and airbag light off ( I think this is how it should be) searching through NHTSA website I found one really that might related to this on 2007 (NHTSA campaign # 07v001000) airbag frontal sensor/control module but did not receive any recall. Please help to look into this as the airbag might not work when there is an accident.
To whom it may concern: there is a huge safety problem with the passenger air bag sensor in my car. The passenger seat airbag indicator lights comes on intermittently when no items are in the seat, and occasionally comes when items are in the seat. The seat definitely has a short in it and I am concerned about it not working properly if I am involved in an accident. ## VIN passed ##.

The air bag warning indicator is illuminated spontaneously regardless if the vehicle was in motion or at start-up and whether the front passenger seat was occupied or unoccupied. The recall 07v001000 (air bags: frontal: sensor/control module) does not include my VIN.
Airbag light started coming on intermittently. Now it's coming on and staying on every time I drive. It comes on with all the other lights during the start/self-test, then goes out, comes back on and stays on.

Airbag light comes on because of a faulty sensor under the driver's side seat. While you published recall information for this problem, Honda is attempting to make me pay to fix the problem that they created. They stated that it is not listed for my VIN # however, if a recall exist for the problem my vehicle should be fixed free of charge.
2004 Honda Accord ex 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual, original owner. Had Honda handle the recall fix on driver front airbag when that recall was issued years ago. Everything ok per Honda and the dashboard indicators. Within the last 2 years the dashboard light for driver's front airbag will intermittently come on, stay on for entire trips. Haven't been able to connect its activation to any specific occurrence or regular pattern. Ask my independent mechanic about it and he referred me to the dealer. Haven't made an appointment. Any news from other owners?.
Air bags: frontal:sensor/control module indicator light came on suddenly on July 22, 2008. Subsequent examination by Honda dealer service department revealed that the wiring harness for the sps which was attached to the seat frame was broken. Dealer denied any responsibility, as had Honda America, despite the fact that a recall announcement for this very problem was issued 1/2/2007 (NHTSA campaign number: 07v001000). They claim that my car's VIN # was not part of the recall which makes me responsible for fixing the problem.
The contact owns a 2004 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the srs (air bag) indicator illuminated in her vehicle. The dealer performed a diagnostic, but could not produce an error code. The dealer then reprogrammed the sensors in the driver's side air bag and the indicator dimmed. Recently, the contact noticed that the indicator was illuminated again. The dealer stated that the air bag needed to be replaced. She was informed that her VIN was excluded from NHTSA campaign id number 07v001000. The manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was excluded and offered no assistance. The current mileage was approximately 61,950 and failure mileage was approximately 51,000. My airbag light on the dashboard has stayed on all of the time since 2008. Not sure of exact date. Airbag light goes off on occasion but most of the time the airbag light stays on. I've never got a recall notice on this issue. I've checked my VIN when there's a recall on airbags for my year 2004 Honda Accord ex and it never shows that my 2004 Honda Accord ex has a recall issue with airbags. My airbag comes on when I start up the vehicle, sitting still or driving on the roadway. I've also noticed that sometimes when I'm driving the shoulder seat belt on the driver side will lock up on me constantly. I'm afraid the shoulder belts going to lock up on me while driving and cause me to have an accident because I'm being held tight against the seat belt.
On may 14, 2008, I brought my 2004 Honda Accord ex to my local Honda dealer because the srs (airbag) indicator came on and remained on during operation. The dealer charged me $263 for replacing the wiring harness under the driver's seat. I believe that the repair should have been completed at no charge because there is an outstanding NHTSA recall (07v001000) that specifically refers to the srs indicator and problems with the wiring harness for 2004 Honda Accord models. My service rep at the dealership said that the VIN on my car did not fall in the VIN range for the recall, but the documentation for NHTSA recall 07v001000 does not specify a range of vins for 2004 models, only for 2005 models. I am asking that the NHTSA clarify and/or expand the VIN range for 2004 Honda Accords to include my vehicle and that the dealer reimburse me for the charges I have already paid.
