1 Fail To Slow Down problem

Failure Date: 12/15/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Accord. While driving approximately 20 mph attempting to park the vehicle, the contact applied the brake pedal it failed to slow down. The gear selector was shifted into neutral and the emergency brake engaged; however, the vehicle continued to accelerate. When the gears were shifted from the neutral position into the park, the vehicle lost control, struck a curb and flipped over. The contact sustained bruises, and the passenger sustained an injury to the bladder. A police report was filed for the incident. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The failure mileage was approximately 27,000.

2 Fail To Slow Down problem

Failure Date: 03/21/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Accord. The contact was driving approximately 15 mph on a slight incline; proceeding into an intersection. While braking there was a sudden acceleration. The vehicle failed to slow down, and crashed into a concrete block. The vehicle continued to travel on an upward incline and stalled. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. The front end of the vehicle, the front and rear passenger doors were damaged. The cause of the failure has not been determined at this time. The failure mileage was 52,000.
