Drivng on the freeway at freeway speed when my front drivers side tire spontaneously seperated and came apart causing substantial vehile damage. I have detailed photos of tire and auto damage.
Tl the contact owns a 2005 Honda Accord equipped with aftermarket sumitomo falken tires, size: 205/60/r16 (na). While driving approximately 65 mph, the front driver side tire tread separated from the tire. The failure damaged the front driver's side headlamp assembly and wheel well. The vehicle was towed to a tire shop where they replaced the tire; however, the vehicle still had three of the same sumitomo tires. The tire manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was unknown. The vehicle failure mileage was 287,769.
: the contact stated the passenger front tire continually lost air. The vehicle was taken to the local dealership for inspection of the problem. The dealer did not detect a problem with the tire or wheel and no repairs were made. This was the original tire that was on the vehicle when purchased. Updated 03/17/06.
